
Missing labels on the line created scrap and return cost. The customer asked for a conveyor label presence camera setup with automatic reject; operator eye checks were no longer enough as speed increased and end-of-shift miss rates rose.
In short: a measurable check where the camera decision reaches reject through a PCB. A similar field-monitoring discipline appears in our GSM-based cold chain warehouse monitoring panel.

Revan Technology combined camera trigger and decision outputs on one PCB/I/O design. The vision rule stayed simple: is the label ROI filled or empty; result is reject or green pass. The goal is reliable presence/absence—not an oversized classifier.
This conveyor label presence camera approach treats optics and the embedded board as one package—not “plug the camera into a PC” as a separate job.
Camera trigger input, lighting driver, and reject output were gathered on one board. Optocoupled I/O was preferred in a noisy plant. Supply and grounding were filtered for VFD noise beside the conveyor.
The ROI was fixed on the label zone. Threshold and minimum-area filters cut glare-driven false alarms. Lighting angle was calibrated on-site for glossy film and metal floors; the lab threshold was not left unchanged.
Shift miss/reject counters are readable from a local HMI or web panel; calibration parameters are limited to authorized users. Decision latency was set to the mechanical reject timing. For industrial vision foundations see also machine vision.
